This blog is dedicated to my family. First of all to my husband, Karl, whose health issues originally took me on this journey long ago. And although I have the least control over my husband’s actions, he has been totally on board with just about every change, although he lives in constant fear about hidden raw goat’s liver.
And to my dear daughter, Kirsten, who has inspired me to make nearly all of the changes in my life that have lead me to this place. I write this blog for Kirsten, in hopes that some day all of the information contained here can be put in a book-like form and given to her. Her willful strength and compliance with all the difficult dietary changes at such a young age are incredible. I want to document the journey so she can see how it unfolded. “What I have received, I also pass on…”
To Jonathan, my strong boy, whose radiant health, peaceful demeanor, and loving compassion for others is the fruit of the labor of the journey. I am thankful for what I’ve learned and been able to spare you from in terms of health (in as much as I am able).
To my dear sisters and brother, who I love with all my heart. I thank you for enduring my endless ramblings about all things food, organic, farms, goats, etc. etc. Thanks for not laughing at me when I offer you kombucha. To my dear parents, and in-laws who accept my eccentric food ideologies and lovingly adjust the menu for our sake.
To all of my dear friends and readers who are on their own healing journey: thank you for your support and friendship.
To Ann Marie , for all of your amazing hard work, passion, and dedication to Real Food. You have sacrificed much for The Cause.
And to all of the Real Food Media bloggers: you are an inspiration to me: Kelly, Kristen, Kimi, Kimberly, Shannon, Jenny….and all of you other amazing bloggers who inspire me every day!
And to God, the Healer and Creator of all things, who is the beginning and end of The Journey.
