I would love to win this book. I’ve got a 3 month old and have recently been introduced to WAP and Nourishing Traditions. I am really excited to get my baby (and future kids) off to a good start.

I just got done browsing the Real Food for mothers and babies web site. I actually spent over an hour on the web site browsing around. I am going to get this book for my daughter who has a son that is almost 5 mo old and weighs only 11 poounds due to severe reflux surgery for the reflux and then we started him on the goats milk formula from your web site which has helped with the reflux he still was having. I am all about whole foods I know I feel better when I eat this way as to pre made stuff. Thanks for that web site it was awesome. If I am lucky enough to get pregnant again at 40 I will be using the G pants that she had on her site as well as feeding and eating the whole real food way!!

  3. I can’t believe I don’t have this book yet, being trained as a midwife and the mother of five babies! I am in a master’s program for health and nutrition education and part of my goal is to develop a curriculum for pregnant teens based on real food, so I NEED this book. The website it clean and easy to navigate, a plus when recommending it to others (as I have previously recommended Real Food)–what a great resource! I was always having to knit together a pregnancy diet for others from various sites.

Thanks for running this contest and making me think about getting this book . . .

Downloaded the free handouts for review! I’m curious as to how I may decide to alter the family diet after reading more of a children-emphasized perspective.

Great to know the author of Real Food for Mother and Baby has a website! Love her ideas that pregnant/nursing moms and their babies ready for solids both need proteins and fats, more than carrots or skim milk.

I wanted to get this book when I was pregnant last year but didn’t. I have 3 little ones and plan on having more so this would be an awesome book to read through and have on hand!
Thanks for the opp. to win it!

I would love a copy of this book. It will be a great reference for feeding my baby (due March 1st). The website was colorful and easy to navigate. Thanks for the opportunity!

I would love this book for my daughter and grandson who has been extremely ill since birth. However I found you site and we have followed the goat milk formula recipe and my grandson who was dx as failure to thrive is gaining weight very quickly he is still a little behind as far as sitting by himself but he is making great progress. Unfort. my doe Ellie dryed herself off so my daughter has had to supplement the raw with pasturized. Ellie is due to kid Mid Feb so we will be back in business again!! Oh Lane my grandson is 6.5 months old now and the Dr.’s really did not expect him to ever make the milestones he has!!!

This looks like an interesting book. I browsed the site and got the gist of her point of view from her free handouts. I have to say that the “real foods” attitude rings true for me, both based on the ever-changing nutrition advice we receive from doctors and (mostly) my own experience. I just feel healthier eating this way, so it makes sense. I’m hoping to become pregnant again soon, and this book would be helpful and informative.

  10. OOh, Dr. Chong recommended this book to me for my pregnancy. I still haven’t gotten a copy yet, and I’d love to have one! Choose me, oh please choose me! :)

I enjoyed Real Food and have been waiting for the local library to get a copy of the new book. My family medical history includes lots of miscarriages and trouble conceiving. Combine that with an interest nutrition and gaining a copy of this book would be a great gift. Thank you for the opportunity.

I would love to be entered for this giveaway! Her website piqued my interest. Hubby and I have be TTC for about 2 years and I have been working on improving our diet. Any guidance toward further improving our fertility would be great. Just in case I just requested this book from my local library!

  14. Rebecca Identicon Icon Rebecca says:

I’ve heard a lot of great things about the book, and want to read it as a breastfeeding mom of an almost one year old. I’d like to see her suggestions on good things for both of us to be eating.

I really enjoyed exploring her site; there are interesting articles and lots of links to useful sites to find local food or mail order real food.

As a young woman suffering from unexplained infertility, I’m looking to go the “natural” route and am discovering what is best for my body. I’m just beginning to delve into “real food” and would love to have a copy of Nina Planck’s book!

  18. Nicole Identicon Icon Nicole says:

Hi There. I’m a fan of Nina’s work and am fascinated by her assertions on her website that conventional wisdom regarding early nutrition is bogus. I’m still nursing my 23-month-old and am considering another pregnancy. I’d love to arm myself with this information! Thanks for this giveaway!

  19. Iconographygirl Identicon Icon Iconographygirl says:

I read this at Dr. Chong’s recommendation a few months ago. Great information in it but, I have to admit, after having read/learned so much from friends like “Organic & Thrifty” it wasn’t as groundbreaking as it may have otherwise been for me ;) Still, a great book!

  20. Iconographygirl Identicon Icon Iconographygirl says:

OH! And why I’d like to win it: DESPITE all I’ve learned, I’m having an IMPOSSIBLE time feeding myself during this pregnancy and am too quick to giving into not-so-helpful food choices out of desperation. I got it out of the library but it would be great to have it in MY library as a more ready/constant reference for me, this next babe, and the rest of the family :)

Plus, I can lend it to Xenia Katie ;)
